Feeding
Instructions
For The Working Horse: Horses
ridden or worked several hours a day should be fed 18-22
pounds of 'Top of the Rockies' alfalfa horse cubes per day
and receive an additional grain mixture at the rate of
5-10 pounds per head daily.
For The Pleasure Horse: A horse
ridden for one hour or less a day just for pleasure and
weighing 1000 pounds should receive 15-20 pounds of 'Top
of the Rockies alfalfa horse cubes per day. A
supplement grain mixture may also be fed.
For The Show Horse: The show horse
is fed somewhat in the same manner as the pleasure horse,
focusing more on body condition and general
appearance. A show horse should be fed approximately
15-18 pounds of 'Top of the Rockies alfalfa horse cubes
and 5-10 pounds of a quality grain mixture daily.
